We’re currently living in an era of redefining how people relate to nature. Art plays a special role in this process: it has the potential to tread new ground and generate ideas. That’s why the Crespo Foundation has initiated a programme that gives artists the ideal setting where they can address the topic: the Glenkeen Garden Residencies – ArtNature/NatureArt on the south coast of Ireland.

Seit 2020 engagiert sich „Kopfsachen“ für die mentale Gesundheit junger Menschen. Durch Workshops, Bildung und präventive Maßnahmen unterstützt der Verein Kinder und Jugendliche darin, einen kompetent und offen Umgang mit psychischen Herausforderungen zu finden. Denn mentale Gesundheit ist eine Voraussetzung für Chancengleichheit und Bildungsgerechtigkeit und damit ein Grundpfeiler einer widerstandsfähigen Gesellschaft.

Fast ein Viertel der Menschen ein Deutschland kennt diskriminierende Anfeindungen aus persönlicher Erfahrung. Doch Hilfsangebote sind begrenzt und schwer zugänglich. Das Team hinter dem AI-Chatbot „yana“ setzt dem eine schnelle, unkomplizierte Beratung und mentale Unterstützung entgegen.

Die Hochschule für Gestaltung transformiert die traditionsreiche Höchster Porzellan-Manufaktur in einen Forschungs- und Lernort, an dem Porzellangestaltung weiterentwickelt wird. Das dazugehörige Residency-Programm fördert künstlerische Talente, die ihre Praxis mit dem Werkstoff vertiefen möchten.

Most activities connected with cultural education are located in large urban areas, which means that pupils and artists in the countryside have very few venues where they can meet up. That’s where the ‘flying artist’s room’ (fliegendes Künstlerzimmer, or FlieKü) comes in, functioning as a mobile live-in studio in rural schoolyards. The title of the project was inspired by the classic children’s book by Erich Kästner, ‘The Flying Classroom’. Even on the outskirts of towns, universal cultural participation is by no means a foregone conclusion. That’s why the FlieKü opened its doors in a district of Frankfurt for the very first time in 2023.
