Beginning this Autumn, the Crespo Foundation invites to a sequence of artist talks highlighting the residents of Glenkeen Garden. Situated in the Roaringwater Bay of West Cork, Ireland, the Glenkeen Garden Residency has been hosting diverse groups and individual artists biannually since 2021, for periods of up to three months, under the theme “ArtNature/NatureArt”. Throughout the talk series, the artists will present the work and research cultivated during their residency period. The inaugural exhibition of this program is scheduled to be held at the new Crespo Haus in 2024.

This artist talk features Kristin Reiman and Filippa Pettersson. During their residency in Glenkeen Garden, the graduates of the Städelschule created a science fiction story about plastic-eating termites: With plastic resources near depletion since the early 36,000s p.o., (post organic), the Termites and their alliance with Cockroach Kind enter a new era. The Royal Museum of Termitology hosts an exhibit showcasing cutting-edge discoveries in drill-scanning, excro-printing, and Human research, portraying their remarkable journey to revive synthetic polymer production and reclaim their sustenance.

The talks will be held in English.
