Prof. Christiane Riedel

Professor Christiane Riedel studied the history of art and architecture as well as literature at Karlsruhe and Hamburg universities. In 1992 she joined the Deutscher Werkbund Baden-Württemberg as managing director, where she worked for five years before becoming managing director of the NFFG, a Hanover-based research institute for women’s and gender studies in the German state of Lower Saxony. In 2002 she moved to ZKM | Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe, which she headed as executive director. She has been an honorary professor in the Cultural Management & Cultural Law programme at Karlshochschule International University in Karlsruhe since 2012.

Christiane Riedel has been a member of the Crespo Foundation’s executive board since October 2020.

Dr. Dettloff Schwerdtfeger

Dr. Dettloff Schwerdtfeger received a master’s degree in music, Italian and phonetics as well as a business diploma at the universities of Freiburg and Cologne. In 1997 he established the Stockhausen Courses in Kürten with Karlheinz Stockhausen. Following a period as a consultant for the Integrated Consulting Group/Culturplan (in Krefeld and Graz), he joined the Leipzig Bach Archive foundation as its managing director in 2006, taking on the additional role of Bach festival director from 2013 onwards. In 2016 he became the commercial manager of Beethovenfest Bonn at the side of festival director Nike Wagner, while also serving on the supervisory board of Beethoven Jubiläums Gesellschaft Bonn.

Dettloff Schwerdtfeger has been a member of the Crespo Foundation’s executive board since January 2021.

Dr. Christian Meyn

Dr. Christian Meyn studied law in Trier and Maastricht after training as an editor at the Berlin Journalism School. He has worked at the Bertelsmann Stiftung, the law firm Latham & Watkins, as managing director of Auridis Stiftung gGmbH, in the international sustainability department of the ALDI SOUTH group and as managing director of a subsidiary in the KLETT group. Most recently he was deputy director of the Center for Philanthropy at the University of Liechtenstein.

Christian Meyn has been a member of the Crespo Foundation’s executive board since June 2023.
