Beginning this Autumn, the Crespo Foundation invites to a sequence of artist talks highlighting the residents of Glenkeen Garden. Situated in the Roaringwater Bay of West Cork, Ireland, the Glenkeen Garden Residency has been hosting diverse groups and individual artists biannually since 2021, for periods of up to three months, under the theme ‘ArtNature/NatureArt’. Throughout the talk series, the artists will present the work and research cultivated during their residency period. The inaugural exhibition of this program is scheduled to be held at the new Crespo Haus in 2024.
The series of artist talks start with Christiana Cheiranagnostaki and Konstanza Kapsali. Since 2019, the Greek artistic duo, working mainly with film, has been meticulously merging scholarly investigation with visual storytelling, focusing on the concept of nature. Their recent three-month residency at Glenkeen Garden revealed the profound role of dry stone walls, transcending their initial identity as boundaries to become integral shelters within the broader landscape.
The talks will be held in English.
