“Education is the key that enables us to enter the world with its wealth of diverse opportunities. However, learning a language or completing vocational training is not always easy.”
What makes life in Germany and Hessen so attractive? Many people who come to us have a clear idea of what they want: a chance to shape their own lives, to earn money, have a family, and have as much control over their lives as possible. Everybody has this opportunity – but they have to use it.
Education is the key that enables us to enter the world with all the opportunities it offers. However, learning a language or completing vocational training is not always easy.
Germany offers a wide range of schools, and opportunities for further education: this in itself can be very complicated for many new arrivals. Family duties often prevent girls and women from realizing their own goals and working towards suitable gainful employment. Children and youngsters with a migration background often find it difficult to successfully complete school or training. Here the Crespo Foundation helps talented incomers navigate their way around the diverse options available.
With its TELLUS, SABA, SABA-Mentoring, START-Vienna and FFM projects – all of them courses supporting young migrants, the Crespo Foundation enables highly divergent groups of people to be successful at school or in their vocational training. This commitment pays off as incomers are often characterized by curiosity, daring and staying power, basic preconditions that allow them to assert themselves in Germany and in Hessen.
